This
page will serve as a general history of film and filmmaking in
Buffalo and Western New York. We are requesting submissions from
people who have knowledge, documents, photos, artifacts, scripts,
and footage from: |

1. films produced
in Buffalo by outside production companies or producers
2. films produced in the area by local producers
3. documentaries made by Buffalo producers or about Buffalo
4. amateur films or educational films (no home movies please!)
5. industrial, training, marketing films & commercials of historic
value

Please
submit all materials in digital form, Word documents, .pdfs,
photos should be 72dpi or higher of at least 300x300 pixels,
please have references attached to support dates, people, places,
etc., footage clips should be quicktime or avi files of at least
320x240pixels and should be of sufficient length to illustrate
the nature of the material. If you would like more information
about converting materials to digital form call or write to us,

submit? The history of film, filmmaking, and filmmakers in Buffalo
has yet to be told. Think of this site as a “wikipedia” type
site that everyone can add to, supplement, correct, etc. |
